Our know-how for your success
OPTIPACK GmbH, with plants in Aretsried (Augsburg) and Leppersdorf (Dresden), is one of Europe's leading manufacturers of PS and PP cups as well as PET preforms for the food industry.
We produce high-quality products on state-of-the-art machines. At the same time, OPTIPACK develops attractive cup shapes for its customers and thus ensures the right effects in the premium segment.

The plant in Saxony, completed in 2004, sets high standards in packaging production. The world's most modern thermoforming machines are located here. Logistics and cup decoration are controlled fully automatically in this plant.

The plant in Aretsried, commissioned in 1983, was and is the nucleus of today's OPTIPACK. The company's administrative headquarters are also located here.
FSC/ISCC-products
OPTIPACK is FSC® (FSC C106987) and ISCC PLUS certified
Careful use of resources and social responsibility have always been of great importance to OPTIPACK. By selling FSC® and ISCC- certified products, we are consistently pursuing our sustainability strategy. With both certification schemes, the material used remains identifiable at all times from its creation to the end customer. This ensures that products bearing an FSC label were actually made from corresponding raw materials. For the ISCC PLUS certified material, an equivalent amount of recycled raw materials was used.
Material savings
Our know-how for your products
Continuous improvement processes ensure the optimisation and further development of our products and manufacturing processes. State-of-the-art analysis methods, simulation models of parameter changes and their effect on product quality and manufacturing processes reveal, for example, potential savings in cup weight or optimisation of pallet utilisation. The use of Desto Cup can also achieve plastic savings of up to 40% in certain cases.
Environment
We think about the ecological footprint
Maximum efficiency and future viability are an integral part of our value chain. In addition to customer requirements, we focus on the life cycle of our products – from granulate to recycling. We think in cycles. We supply process-related plastic waste to new recycling areas and, where possible, we replace primary material with recyclates.
Energy management
Resource-saving and efficient use of energy
Optipack GmbH operates an energy management system to continuously improve its energy-related performance. Since 2012, the two sites Leppersdorf and Aretsried have been certified according to the international standard for energy management systems - ISO 50001: 2018.
